Microsoft has announced that a deal has been reached with Nokia, that would allow the titan software manufacturer to create a version of Microsoft Office to work on Nokia's devices. The launch of this version of Microsoft Office will be dropping next year. It is planned to coincide with another version of office that allows users to access Word, and other programs by online means. This isn't Microsoft's first foray into the mobile industry mind you, as they've created Office by way of their Mobile Operating System. Also, Blackberries have had the ability to run Office through the work of a company called DataViz. One surprising element to this story is that Microsoft and Nokia have had a pretty rocky past. They've been at odds before, and were once considered rivals. Undoubtedly, with the emergance of other companies and their foothold in the mobile industry, led to this pairing.
