There is a heated battle going on between Apple and Flash. Apple, particularly Steve Jobs, has called out Flash for being less than optimal when it comes to the mobile internet. He's called the platform a battery hog, and accused Flash of being unreliable. In retaliation Adobe claimed that Apple has been a dictator towards developers over what can be developed for the app store. Adobe even went so far as to take out ads in numerous newspapers to complain about Apple's no-Flash policy. Other companies have piped up in regards to the feud, each taking sides in the debate. Opera co-founder, Jon von Tetzchner had this to say, "Flash is the only proprietary part of the Web we support" Those sentiments were followed up by Alberto Torres, the head of Nokia's business solutions unit, "We support Flash as well" Add as favourites (12) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 1162
