Nokia N95

The talks of a Microsoft and Nokia partnership have been happening since February. Since the announcement, little has been mentioned of the team up. That is until now . Apparently, Nokia is ready to release a line of Windows-powered handsets which could change the fortune of both companies.

Both companies are down on their lunk in the mobile world. Microsoft has tried for years to successfully become involved in the cellular market. Nokia, once was a giant in the US and was unmatched in cell phone sales. Then with the release of  the iPhone and Android power devices,  Nokia's market share began to dip. They still lead in global sales, but their numbers have significantly dropped.

This alliance could be just what both companies need, and with Nokia's large base and Microsoft's experience creating OS's, there's a high chance of success.
