Today at the Mobile World Congress, Nokia unvailed the new Nokia MAPS application that will come pre-installed on it's future GPS enabled handset's. They announced that the BETA (not final) version would be available from today and true to their word it has been released by Nokia Beta Labs http://www.nokia.com/betalabs/maps Please note that you should be running the latest (v20) firmware in order to install the update - if you install it on older versions then you may not be able to easily un-install it.
There are currently 2 version's to download - one for handset's that already have a previous version of MAPs installed and one for handset's that do not have a previous version (fresh install). Now you must bare in mind that this is a BETA version - there will be bugs... so if you rely on your current MAP's application for navigation then you are probably better of waiting for the final release. Instructions: Open your N95's barcode reader (MENU>OFFICE>BARCODE) and point the camera at this image - it should produce a link on your N95's screen that you can click on...
