I gurantee that if I took a poll of cell phone users, from the mid 90's all the way up to today, the #1 pet peeve would be battery life. It's a problem that has face cell phones since they were invented. As the technical prowess of phones increase, so does the demand for battery. It's sad that most phones have less battery life today than some of the older handhelds. So, is there anything you can do to preserve your battery.

Of course, you can always just use your phone for the bare necesseties, but what's the fun in that? Using the internet, bluetooth, and media options is what's fun on your phone. So, if you don't want to cut yourself off from the fluff there's another option for you - cycle your battery.

The  process of cycling your battery is quite easy, though there are a couple of things to remember when doing so. If your Nokia n-95 happens to be new then you can start things off right. If not, then you can still follow these steps and hopefully squeeze out some more juice from the battery.

If your Nokia n95 is still in box, then your first step to completely charge the device to 100%. If not then you'll want to skip that step. Once you have a complete charge use up as much of the battery as you possibly can. To shorten the process, use all of the bells and whistles. Here's where things can get tricky. When a device gives you a low battery message, that doesn't mean plug it in (unless it's an emergency of course). Keep going further until the phone has to shutdown. Then keep trying to turn the phone on. When it won't turn on, then take the battery out  and wait a couple of seconds. Place the battery back in the phone, and try to turn it on. If it doesn't turn on then you're fine, if it does then keep it going til it shuts off again.

Finally, you'll want to recharge your phone again. You should notice a significant increase in battery life from going through these steps.
