The first step to keep the speed up on your Nokia n95 is to turn as many things off as possible. Turn off active standby, media background video/animations. So many bells and whistles come standard on a Nokia n95 that aren't needed at all. Turning them off can drastically improve performance, while saving battery life.

Frequently reboot to take care of any memory leaks. While accessing apps, ram can get lost and leak. Doing so will reduce a phone's capabilities. To keep a phone from doing this, simply reboot often.

Remove all unwanted apps. I would wager you can go on your phone right now and find at least 3 apps you never use. Why bother taking up the space with these programs? Get rid of tem.
