For small business owners and marketers, Nokia is someone you might want to keep an eye on. They are partnering with Intuit to bring mobile based local advertising to consumers across the country. This is a huge boon for smaller and local businesses. The whole point is to better open up communication channels between businesses and customers. The partnership was unveiled at Nokia World 2010. Nokia will be taking care of the mobile phone side of the service, while Intuit will be taking care of the small business customers. While there was an announcement, we know very little at this time. The service will be launching later this year, but before 2011. Alex Lintner, president of Intuit's Global Business Division had this tos ay about the partnership, "We plan to offer them a way to strengthen customer relationships through targeted communications that increase sales by delivering more customer visits. We're applying the same proven formula we've used with QuickBooks to help small businesses succeed by better serving their customers."
