That's right - thanks to some extensive testing by Jay from the Mobileburn.com forum it has been discovered that by using an aftermarket N95 cover you can squeeze the massive 1200mAh battery from the US N95-3 (and the yet to be released N95 8Gb) into the original Euro N95-1... You can see from this picture that the results with a "clear" case are NOT pretty, but with a solid (non transparent) case you wouldn't know any difference! ![]() Image from mynokiablog.com You can read more here http://mynokiablog.com/2007/09/28/nokia-n95-with-1200mah-bl-6f-battery-its-possible/ The battery is a VERY tight fit however - it takes quite a bit of BFI (Brute Force and Ignorance) to get the battery under the N95-1's camera cover housing... Infact more pressure than most would like to exert on their N95! But - If you are determined to get more battery life from your Euro N95-1 then this is one possible answer. So - Why did Nokia not supply the original N95-1 with the bigger BL-6F? We all thought that it was simply a size thing - but this goes to show that with a little bit of "shaving" here and there the BL-6F Nokia could have squeezed it in... Come on Nokia - you dropped the ball on that one! Add as favourites (64) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 4159
